Book Club Information

BookPeople hosts many in-store Book Clubs. 

Each club meets once a month on our 3rd floor. For more information on what each club is reading, click the club link to go directly to their book club Facebook page, or visit our event calendar. 

 

7% Solution Book Club: Meets the 1st Monday of every month at 7PM and discusses mystery books.

 

IACT Spirituality Book Club: Meets the 2nd Monday of every month at 7PM and discusses books on faith.

 

This Book Could Be Your Life: Meets on the 3rd Sunday of every month at 5PM and discusses music books.

 

It's the End of the World As We Know It Book Club: Meets the 3rd Sunday of every month at 2PM to discuss apocalyptic fiction.

 

Ludicrous Speed Book Club: Meets on the 3rd Monday of every month at 7PM and discusses sci fi and fantasy books.

 

Stranger Than Fiction Book Club: Meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7PM and discusses cultural studies and science books.

 

Voyage Out Book Club: Meets on the last Sunday of every month at 5PM and discusses fiction from different world regions.

 

New & Noteworthy Book Club: Meets on the fourth Sunday of every month at 7PM and discusses new and/or award-winning literature.

 

Las Comadres Book Club: Las Comadres and Friends National Latino Book Club meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at 7PM to discuss an eclectic mix literature by Latina/o authors.

 

Hard Word Book Club: Meets on the last Wednesday of every month at 7PM and discusses hard-boiled mysteries and westerns.

 

Forever Young Adult Book Club: Are you tired of feeling ashamed every time you creep into the Young Adult section of BookPeople? The FYA is here to offer relief! We're a group of adults (technically) who meet at 5PM on the second Sunday of every month. Location varies, so email foreveryoungadult@gmail.com for location information.

 

Happy Hour Book Club at The Highball (temporarily OPA): Come hang out with Mandy and Joel on the last Thursday of every month at 5:30, where we'll discuss books over cocktails.

 

The Nightmare Factory: Meets the third Tuesday of every month at 8PM to discuss horror books.

 

Required Reading Revisited: Meets the second Sunday of every month at 5PM to discuss books you read (or pretended to read) during school.

 

The Stand Up Sit Down Book Club: Meets the last Monday of every month at 7PM to discuss comedic literature and the memoirs of funny people.
